It's been a hot week (don't laugh, desert family!), with temperatures in the upper 80's. The boys convinced me that they were at risk of melting into the lawn unless they turned on the sprinklers. What followed were the quietest, most peaceful two hours of the week while the kids played in the water.
After enjoying the sprinkler for a while, they filled up our plastic kiddie pool and had a blast. I'm sure this was a shadow of many summer days to come!
