This kid was made for walkin'...

During our Mother's Day phone call with my missionary brother,
Lexi took her first steps!
She has taken a step or two here and there for more than a month,
but this time was different.
Her steps were intentional, and they kept coming!
Lexi got braver throughout the day, but her "record" is still just seven steps.
We spent some silly family time trying to capture her walking on camera.
Many thanks to Garry, who spent the evening splicing video for your viewing pleasure.

Loved the slow mo, Garry! It really shows what a thoughtful effort that walking is! Go Lexi!

Go go go Lexi!!! So cute to see her taking those steps and I love hearing her say "go." It's so clear. Ethan is so close to walking too. On Saturday he took 5 steps. I loved the slow motion pictures. I was half expecting some dramatic music to begin playing while it was in slow mo. Maybe next time Garry =)

Definitely an ability I think most of us take for granted, but at least we start of close to the ground! I love her words of self encouragement "Go, Go, Go!"

I actually thought about a musical background, but then it got late and I forgot. I'll do better next time. Haha!

Hooray Lexi! With a brother like Gavin to keep up with, she will be running in no time. Cute little girl!

She is such a cutie!! I love hearing you laugh in the background. And I love the chaos going on around you as she tries to walk. I remeber times like that!! So fun!!

I can't believe what this last year has brought. Yea for Lexi! Can't wait to see it in person. She's such a little doll!

Awesome! I can see she's been focusing more on her hip-swaying move than her walking. :) Both are looking really good!

pass it on!
