After two days of intensive potty-training, Garry summed it up this way:
Gavin thinks that using the potty is a game,
rather than a lifestyle.
Game over.
Welcome back, diapers.
I couldn't be happier.

So, did he figure it out? Or is it shelved until later?
Oh well! Next time it will be a breeze, I am sure of it. Garry gets major props for giving it a go, and even taking time off to do it!
I love the pictures from the past below. Especially the top two, Zach and Lexi sure have a lot of similar features...although Lexi is so girly :). And the hat/blanket ones! How smart of your mom to make a hat for "now and later!"
Re: above comment about hat. I wasn't smart...I couldn't decide which size so I made them both. Haha. I'm glad he can wear it now!
As for Gavin, now you know he's not ready to take it on...if you hadn't tried, you would have wondered.
Dad and I laughed about that all night. That was the funniest comment we've heard in a while. Thanks for keeping us laughing. As for Gavin, it probably won't be long and he will be ready for a life style change. Any kid that goes to get his diaper and hands it to you and then takes care of the old one isn't too far off. He's adorable!!!!!!!!!!!
At least with diapers you know where you stand. I'm not a fan of the transitional stages of potty-training.
The funny thing is that now that we have given up on his formal training, now he asks several times a day to go to the "poppy" and usually does (not always with a dry diaper though). Oh well, hopefully it will be easier once he decides he's really ready to commit.
