Lexi exceeded my expectations and was as excited about the ride as her big brother. She clapped and giggled. I love her expressions in these photos.
Our mall outing also included rented strollers (with steering wheels!), lunch, a visit to the pet store, and ice cream cones.After naps, Granny filled up the little pool in the backyard. Gavin and Lexi donned their new swimsuits and jumped in. Granny and I put our feet in the cool water as the kids splashed and played. Gavin liked to dive in from the side and nearly submerge himself. He kept saying, "I'm under the sea!" He doesn't even know that's a reference to The Little Mermaid.
After dinner, Granny and I pushed the stroller around the neighborhood. Gavin and Lexi loved seeing all of the farm animals -- cows, horses, goats, sheep, chickens, and ducks. It was h-o-t, but the kids were enthralled.Good times at Granny's house. Good times!

Oh wow, that is a FUN day! Lexi looks an astonishing amount like Young Holly Dixon, aka like you. And she has a matching swimsuit with Eve and Iris. Methinks we need a photo.
what a wonderful mother you have!! And those pictures of the kids are priceless! I know exactly where you went, but it is so different seeing it through the eyes of your camera and your writing! beautiful! Keep it up, you have a way with words!
