Thankful

For Family Home Evening tonight, we continued a long-standing tradition: making a Thankful Tree. Made from a small tree branch and paper leaves, the Thankful Tree displays many of the blessings for which we are so grateful. As we sat around the table discussing modern medicine, indoor plumbing, furnaces, clothing, and freedom, Zach and Tyler gained new understanding regarding the incredible blessings that are ours. We fully recognize that having three square meals a day, steady employment, a mother who stays home, a comfortable house, working cars, and money to pay for daily life makes us some of the richest people in the entire world. During this season of thanks, we hope to put gratitude at the forefront of our minds.

What are your Thanksgiving traditions?

I steal all your ideas. Your dinner conversation template is now a staple at our house. My kids demand it even if we go out for dinner! Perhaps I shall also steal this one...
