Family dialogue

Gavin: Mom, what are we having for dinner?
Heidi: Breakfast casserole.
Gavin: What is that?  Like cereal casserole?

*

Gavin: Look!  My toast is a triangle!
Lexi: My toast is a shape!
Tyler: Dad is a shape.
Zach: Voice is a shape.
Garry: What?
Zach: You know, sound waves are like boom, boom, boom, boom.  (With a cupped hand moving out from his body.)
Tyler: No!  They're like oom-tsih-tsih-tsih, oom-tsih-tsih-tsih, with lines and spikes and stuff.  Like a mountain.
Heidi: Like a heart monitor?  Or a Richter Scale?
Tyler: Yeah!  That's what sound waves look like.

*

Garry: Zach, it's your turn to empty the dishwasher.
Zach: Will I have to load it later?
Garry: Please just empty the dishwasher.

Zach: Will I have to load it later?
Garry: Please just empty the dishwasher.

Zach: Will I have to load it later?
Garry: Please just empty the dishwasher.

Zach: Will I have to load it later?
Garry: Please just empty the dishwasher.
Zach: FINE.

*

Gavin: The coffeseed muffins are all gone.
Garry: What did you say?
Gavin: Coffeeseed muffins.  We ate them for lunch.
Garry: Don't you mean poppyseed?
Gavin: Oh yeah.
